Such engagements have encompassed issues ranging from zoning disputes, defending eminent domain proceedings, protecting access rights, and interfacing with architectural control committees and homeowners’ associations.

The firm also has substantial experience in the litigation of real estate disputes. Hanes & Bartels has tried cases involving access issues, fraudulent conveyances, competing easement rights, boundary conflicts, construction defects, lease disputes, partition actions, use and abandonment of public roads, and many other related matters. The firm’s experience includes numerous trials, both to judges and juries, and a substantial appellate practice before the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court.
