Eric Pavri is an Associate Attorney at Hanes & Bartels. He speaks fluent Spanish and focuses his practice on immigration and criminal defense.

Eric was born in New Centerville, Pennsylvania. He earned a bachelorís degree from Bowdoin College in Maine, with a double major in Geology and Anthropology. He then earned both a masterís degree and law degree from the University of Arizona on full-ride scholarships. After law school, he practiced at a private firm near Cincinnati, Ohio for two years before moving to Colorado and joining Hanes & Bartels.

Eric has long had a passion for immigration law. Both of his own parents immigrated to the United States. They became U.S. citizens and worked hard to give their son the opportunity to become an attorney. That is why Eric takes special pleasure in helping other families to pursue the American Dream. He enjoys helping immigrants to legally enter and work in the United States, to acquire permanent residency and citizenship, and to bring their loved ones to join them. Eric has also successfully defended immigrants facing deportation in federal immigration courts in Arizona, Ohio, and Colorado, and before the national Board of Immigration Appeals. For more information on our immigration practice, please visit www.colorado-immigration-law.com.

Eric also believes that one reason that immigrants have long come to the US is the fairness of our criminal courts. Here, an individual accused of a crime is innocent unless the government proves him guilty. Eric takes no shortcuts to criminal defense, thoroughly investigating every case, interviewing witnesses, and uncovering procedural violations by police and prosecutors. He has successfully represented defendants at many levels, from juvenile courts to state and federal appeals courts.

Before becoming a lawyer, Eric trained farmers in masonry and carpentry for three years in the Peace Corps in Central America. He also previously worked as a National Park Ranger throughout the American West and as a college professor at Miami University. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, and nature photography. Given those interests, he was thrilled to move to Colorado. He and his wife recently purchased a 111-year-old home in Colorado Springs, so he often spends his weekends happily covered in sawdust and plaster.
